Space Quest creators establish new adventure games studio

Mark Crowe and Scott Murphy have created Guys from Andromeda to make new adventure titles

Mark Crowe and Scott Murphy, the original creators of the point-and-click classic Space Quest, have formed a new studio to develop a brand-new adventure title. After a 25-year break, the gentlemen have established Guys from Andromeda with their first game tentatively titled Two Guys Spaceventure. The studio has begun the hiring process for work on the title, and unlike other revivals, Kickstarter is not currently a part of the plan.

"The way games are made and gotten into a player's home has changed greatly. We are adapting to the changes, taking advantage of them and charting our own course through space and looking forward to finding that 'new game smell'," said the studio in a statement.

Guys from Andromeda is currently doing auditions for the game's narrator on their official site.

M.H. Williams is new to the journalism game, but he's been a gamer since the NES first graced American shores. Third-person action-adventure games are his personal poison: Uncharted, Infamous, and Assassin's Creed just to name a few. If you see him around a convention, he's not hard to spot: Black guy, glasses, and a tie.
