EA's chief financial officer leaving February 17

Eric Brown resigns, replaced by Kenneth Barker

Eric Brown, chief financial officer for EA since April 2008, has resigned from the role. His last day will be February 17.

He leaves to join communications company Polycom as CFO and COO, and will be replaced at EA by chief accounting officer and senior vice president Kenneth Barker, who has been with the company since 2003.

"I am delighted to join Polycom at such an exciting time," said Brown.

" The growth trends in mobility, cloud-delivered services, and business social networking are the driving forces behind a whole new paradigm for communication that is centred on the power of video collaboration. With Polycom's software strategy, open platform approach, broad ecosystem of partners, and strong brand loyalty among its huge installed base, I believe the company is ideally poised to capitalize on this new model."

EA recently revealed its third quarter financial results, which showed increased net sales of $1.061 billion.
