Winner to be funded and aided by platform holder, published via XBLA, Windows, WP7

Microsoft has partnered with the Independent Games Festival in a sponsorship deal which will see a special panel choose an entrant to win a publishing deal with the platform holder.

The successful entrant, should they choose to accept the terms of Microsoft's contract, will be given assistance in usability testing, compliance and production of their title, which will then be published on Xbox LIVE Arcade, Windows or Windows Phone.

Full funding for the completion of the project will also be made available.

The deal will run for multiple years, with winners being announced onstage during the IGF award ceremony, begining this year. The IGF final will take place from March 5-9, 2012 at the Moscone centre in San Francisco.
