Facebook's Gareth Davis to keynote Evolve London

Platform manager for mobile and games to speak at capital event

Gareth Davis, Facebook's platform manager for mobile and games, will be giving the keynote address at Evolve in London in December, giving a behind-the-scenes look at the social network.

Davis will be giving advice on creating successful titles for the platform, be it for mobile or desktop incarnations.

"We're delighted that Gareth Davis is opening the second Evolve in London conference and that we're able to provide our delegates with a rare glimpse behind the scenes of Facebook," said Tandem Events md Andy Laine.

"In a relatively short space of time, Facebook has emerged as a leading platform for games, igniting the social game revolution. Until recently, it was a platform dominated by Zynga, the developer behind the phenomenally successful Farmville and Cityville titles. But in recent times, traditional videogames stalwarts, such as EA with Sims Social, have proved that they're ready to take a piece of the social gaming pie so Gareth's keynote provides the perfect platform for developers to learn more about the opportunities that are out there."

Taking place at De Vere West One on 1 December, 2011, Evolve London is aimed at helping developers to engage with and overcome the problems facing a rapidly changing games market.

Tickets are for the one day event available from the official website.
