CocoaChina raises $14m in funding
Chinese mobile dev will use funds for new games and to build dev community
Chinese game developer CocoaChina has raised $14 million in second round funding.
According to a report on Inside Mobile Apps, the money came from three VC funds: Sequoia Capital China, Disney's Steamboat Ventures, and Northern Light Venture Capital.
Northern Light also contributed $1.2 million in the company's first round of funding.
CocoaChina's most popular game is Fishing Joy, which has a community of 10 million users. It also maintains a large, active development community, with around 80 per cent of Chinese iOS developers registered with the company.
The funding will be used for a range of projects, including games in new genres, and the development of advertising, distribution and monetisation solutions for its community.
