Apple has adjusted international pricing on the App Store, with apps for UK consumers increasing from 59p to 69p at the lowest tier.

Prices have also gone up in Mexico and Norway, as reported by MacRumours, but Japan, Switzerland and Australia have seen prices drop.

Apple warned of the changes yesterday when iTunes Connect was taken offline for maintenance, stating: "pricing changes made between 9am and 4pm PDT will cause the app to become unavailable for purchase until maintenance is complete."

The changes have been made to correct discrepancies in pricing outside of the US, particularly in Australia, where consumers have been charged up to a third more for some content.

As part of the update, Apple is also allowing businesses in the US to purchase apps in volume, a service previously only offered to educational institutions.
