Team from Titan Studios establishes new company with focus on small, core titles for PC

The core team of Fat Princess developer Titan Studios has established a new company, Carbon Games.

A statement on the studio's website introduced the team as Dawna Baltins, Weng Chen, Matt Endsley, James Green, Branimir Karadzic, and Ken Klopp, and revealed that it is already working on its first project.

"Carbon Games is an independent developer, free to make the games we want on the platforms we want, and interact with the public the way we want. This is the primary reason why we wanted to 'go indie' at this time."

Titan Studios is a subsidiary of Epic Games China, and Carbon Games co-founder James Green told Joystiq that the team had been "winding down Titan gracefully for a while."

Green also revealed that, at first, Carbon will focus on "smaller, accessible core titles" on PC, as the platform makes patching simpler and allows for rapid player feedback.

The studio will publicly test its first project later this year.
