Namco Bandai confirmed for Eurogamer Expo

Ridge Racer Unbounded, Inversion and Dark Souls all playable at consumer show

Publisher Namco Bandai has confirmed its presence at this year's Eurogamer Expo in September, with a list of five playable titles on show.

New Ridge Racer title Unbounded takes pride of place, alongside Ace Combat: Assault Horizon; FPS Inversion and Dark Souls, spiritual successor to Demons Souls.

"We are very excited about this year's Eurogamer expo. We have some incredible titles to show off this year and it's an exciting year for Namco Bandai to do this." said Namco Bandai's Lee Kirton.

Eurogamer MD Rupert Loman, added: "This is an exceptionally strong offering from Namco Bandai and we're delighted that they've chosen the Eurogamer Expo to showcase their biggest games.

"We're proud to be hosting the final of the Tekken Force Tournament, demonstrating that the Expo isn't just the place for the best games, but also the best gamers."

There are 30,000 tickets on sale for the event, which is running at Earl's Court between 22 and 25 September, 2011. Tickets are currently priced at early bird prices at 8 for full day access, rising to 10 later on. Tickets are available from the Eurogamer Expo website.

I don't mean to be pedantic, but Dark Souls isn't literally a Demon's Souls sequel - it's only in a spiritual sense, as Demon's is owned by Sony.

Anyway, it's great to see so many publishers getting on board. I think Namco have a few interesting games in the pipelines (I am keen to see the new Ridge Racer, from Bugbear - the massively undervalued developers of FlatOut) and would like to see if and how Inversion will put a spin on a very crowded genre.
