Rebrand for DeNA/ngmoco services

Japanese mobile and social platforms streamlined ahead of Western launch

Ngmoco owner DeNA has announced plans to rebrand its mobile and social gaming platforms, as it prepares to target the West.

The Japanese firm's raft of services are to be rebranded as simply 'Mobage', with the name written in English. Formerly, the primary service was MobageTown, written in Japanese. DeNA's mobile platform Plus+ Network will also be retitled as Mobage.

The two firms have repeatedly talked up plans to conquer Western mobile markets with Mobage. While their plans remains unclear for now, a first move involves having Mobage preloaded on certain Samsung Android phones.
