Tradewest launches Digital business

First game set for pre-Christmas launch; full 2011 line-up to follow

Tradewest Games has announced the launch of a digital publishing arm - Tradewest Digital - that will bring games to market on mobile, browser, downloadable console platforms and PC.

The move is a bid for the company to reach the new - and large - audiences that have grown up around platforms such as iPhone, Facebook and Steam.

"The launch of Tradewest Digital has been a very exciting project for me personally", says Martin Spiess, CEO of Tradewest Digital. "Especially with the rise of sophisticated mobile gaming devices and the sheer number of them out there creates a lot of great opportunities for us.

"Since Tradewest Digital is set up as a classic B2C business, our titles will greatly benefit from the direct access and dialogue with our consumers. Our goal is to create a well-balanced portfolio to cater to the taste of this very large audience and deliver to them simply great entertainment."
