Game rental vending machines for the US

Redbox to add $2 games to thousands of curbside kiosks

US DVD rental firm Redbox is to add games to many of its 24,000 on-street kiosks.

Redbox is planning on the nationwide roll-out following successful limited trials in July. The service is not available yet, but Xbox360Digest claims it is due "in the coming weeks."

Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii games will be offered for $2 each, but must be returned within 24 hours to avoid incurring a fine.

The company claims to have rented 1 billion DVDs at $1 each to date.

Game availability at local kiosks may be checked here.
