Epic delays Gears of War 3 to Fall 2011

Not a quality issue, says Microsoft and Epic

Xbox 360 exclusive Gears of War 3 has been delayed from April until "Fall 2011".

Microsoft has denied the delay is due to quality issues, but is instead "to make it the marquee title for the holiday season."

Epic's Rod Fergusson, executive producer on Gears of War 3, released a statement to fans acknowledging their disappointment adding, "this is a business decision between partners, and not a quality issue."

"Gears 3 was on track to be the most polished Gears of War game ever when it released in April, and this additional time allows us to polish it that much more before it hits shelves next fall."
