Bigpoint increases DevLounge revenue split

Content creators will now receive 70% of revenues for using online company's upload interface

Germany-based online games publisher Bigpoint has announced that it has re-launched its DevLounge system with a new design and an improved revenue share for content creators.

Originally released in May last year, the system has been completely redesigned with new features and tools for developers, while the revenue split-out has been increased from 30 per cent to 70 per cent - bringing it in line with Apple's App Store, but still some way short of Google's 95 per cent with its Chrome Store.

"The redesign of DevLounge reflects our wish to give even more talented game developers the chance to get their games out to a huge gaming community of more than 130 million users," said Bigpoint's CMO, Lothar Eckstein.

Those users are spread across 120 countries, the company claims, with over 50 titles - including Runescape - already having been uploaded via the interface.
