2008 Austin Game Developers Conference

Press Release PROVIDED BY GAMES PRESS

PayByCash® president, Kevin Higgins, will address the Austin Game Developers Conference on the subject of expanding the markets for online games to larger global audiences. “Localization Is More Than Language” will explore the specific regional issues regarding how people around the world wish to pay for online digital content.

“Many online game developers believe that globalization means language and cultural sensitivities,” said Higgins. “But, if you are not sensitive to payment options suited to the markets you wish to reach, you have not completed your job. Many game providers view alternate payment options as simply a way to pay for online goods and services without a credit card. We will also deal with issues of regional preference and payment security, particularly in markets where credit card fraud rates are especially high.”

Higgins’ presentation will go beyond the general advantages of alternate payment methods and focus on the specific challenges game providers face in major regions of the world to expand the reach and revenues of their products. “Localization is more than Language” will be presented to on Tuesday, September 16, 2008 at 4:30 p.m. in Room 6.
