100 WiiWare games in development

Nintendo of America's senior director of project development, Tom Prata, has revealed there are around 100 WiiWare games in the pipeline.

Keen to build on WiiWare's success, Prata explained that the games are in development for the service and that they are "working with developers... to bring the products to consumers in a timely manner".

"Currently, there are about 100 games in development for WiiWare at various stages of completion," Prata told IGN.

The Wii's digital distribution service was launched in North America and Europe earlier this month and saw success for its opening titles, such as LostWinds.
